Format: Commander

Commander: Arwen, Mortal Queen

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Selesnya deck, helmed by Arwen, Mortal Queen, is a midrange +1/+1 counter strategy with a strong life-gain subtheme. Arwen enters with an indestructible counter and can sacrifice it to grant another creature indestructible while putting a +1/+1 counter and a lifelink counter on both. The deck aims to deploy a wide board of creatures, accumulate counters via Hardened Scales, Conclave Mentor, and Branching Evolution, then snowball into overwhelming combat damage with cards like Kalonian Hydra, Archangel of Thune, and Cathars' Crusade. Secondary win paths include Ajani, Strength of the Pride's ultimate and commander damage with lifelink. The deck leans on enchantress synergies (Setessan Champion, Eidolon of Blossoms-equivalent not present) and token generation to build inevitability, with light recursion from Sun Titan and Eternal Witness.
