Deck overview

This mono-white deck features General Jarkeld at the helm of a unique combat-focused strategy. The list blends classic Equipment beatdown with niche combat manipulation mechanics, utilizing lure effects, banding, and blocking redirection to dictate combat trades. Core value engines like Puresteel Paladin, Kíli the Resourceful, Esper Sentinel, and Trouble in Pairs maintain card flow while assembling powerful weapons like Colossus Hammer, Buster Sword, and Sword of Fire and Ice. The deck utilizes General Jarkeld and Odric, Master Tactician to reassign or bypass opposing blockers entirely, funneling combat damage into defenseless opponents. Additional layers of synergy include damage redirection with Phyrexian Vindicator and Pariah's Shield, keyword sharing via Odric, Lunarch Marshal, and game-ending alpha strikes with Akroma's Will. The deck reliably builds its equipment foundation by Turn 4, presents lethal board pressure by Turn 6, and closes games across two response cycles through overwhelming physical pressure and unblockable combat sequencing.
