Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Grixis discard, draw, and burn engine commanded by Kefka, Court Mage. It accelerates early with two-mana rocks and Medallions to deploy Kefka on Turn 4. Kefka's symmetrical discard triggers generate card advantage by drawing for each unique card type discarded, while converting opposing discards into mana, creature tokens, and damage through engines like Waste Not, Tinybones, Bauble Burglar, and Archfiend of Ifnir. The mid-game transitions into oppressive board control as Archfiend wipes opposing creatures and Dauthi Voidwalker denies graveyard recursion. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through compounding group drain from Psychosis Crawler and Niv-Mizzet, Parun, token swarms from The Locust God, or an abrupt combo pivot with Dualcaster Mage and Twinflame. Supported by a robust suite of seven counterspells and efficient reanimation, the deck maintains high resilience against removal while punishing opponents for drawing and discarding cards.
