Deck overview

This deck uses Jace, Multiverse Architect as a value engine and creature-cheat commander. The early game is built around lands and two-mana rocks, followed by token production that gives Jace a target for −3. Jace can then exchange a small creature or planeswalker for a random creature or planeswalker from the library, while +1 provides steady card selection. Large hits such as Archon of Cruelty, Archfiend of Despair, Avacyn, Angel of Horror, and Serra's Emissary create strong battlefield swings. The deck also has broad creature removal, sweepers, and a few protection effects. Its main weakness is that it has no compact victory condition. Its pressure depends on surviving several turns, finding suitable creature hits, and attacking. It is therefore a high-curve midrange engine deck rather than a cEDH list or a true combo deck.
