Deck overview

This Jeskai list is a reactive spell-sniping deck helmed by Gandalf, Party Guest. The core loop is assembling legendary Wizards so Gandalf's combat trigger can cast a high-mana instant or sorcery from hand for free, with X equal to twice the number of legendary Wizards you control. Premier snipes are Apex of Power, Dance with Calamity, Aminatou's Augury, Improvisation Capstone, Mob Rule, and Multiversal Incursion. Doublers such as Harmonic Prodigy, Roaming Throne, and Wizard's Staff copy that trigger, and Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy recasts the complementary spell type from the graveyard. The deck fights on the stack with a deep instant suite and literally snipes opposing spells via Display of Power and Spelltwine. It closes through ping engines (Vivi Ornitier, Gandalf, Goblins' Bane, Niv-Mizzet, Parun) amplified by Fiery Emancipation or Fated Firepower, through a Kykar, Wind's Fury / Jeskai Ascendancy air force, or by resolving one enormous free spell. There are no infinite combos; games stay interactive until a splashy turn ends them.
