Super Secret Serpent Society by user3056715

Format: Commander

Commander: The Serpent Society

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The deck is a grindy Golgari attrition engine built around The Serpent Society. It deploys cheap deathtouch creatures, then sacrifices them with outlets like Village Rites and Dockside Chef; each death triggers the commander and forces every opponent to sacrifice a nontoken creature. Tergrid, God of Fright and Supper for Spiders turn those sacrificed permanents into your board, while Vat of Rebirth and recursion keep the loop going. Poison is a secondary path: Bilious Skulldweller plus three proliferate effects can outlast a stalled board. The hidden commander is Tergrid, whose Lantern face also forces sacrifice/discard. The deck has no fast mana or combo finish, so games are slow but highly interactive.
