Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari midrange typal strategy commanded by Shelob, Child of Ungoliant. The primary plan focuses on developing mana during the opening turns with traditional land and artifact ramp, then deploying Shelob on Turn 5 to turn the entire Spider roster into lethal deathtouch threats protected by ward {2}. The deck leverages cheap fight and bite spells like Animist's Might and Cosmic Hunger to pick off opposing utility and commander threats, stealing them as Food artifact tokens to compound board advantage. Victory is achieved through multi-turn combat pressure, commander damage from Shelob, and reach damage from Rotwidow Pack and Ishkanah, Grafwidow. While the deck features robust creature interaction and strong regeneration protection via Swarmyard, it relies on fair combat over multiple turn cycles and has limited stack interaction against non-creature strategies.
