Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Dimir control deck led by Talion, the Kindly Lord. The strategy revolves around deploying Talion early, naming critical low mana values such as 2, and then duplicating Talion using an extensive suite of clone spells like Spark Double, Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, and Irenicus's Vile Duplication. Stacking multiple Talions forces opponents to take 4 to 6 life loss and grants you multiple card draws whenever they cast common spells or play typical creatures. The massive card advantage generated by this engine fuels a robust suite of free and efficient countermagic, spot removal, and bounce spells to control the table. Win conditions include cumulative drain and flying combat damage, alongside an alternate two-card infinite combo in Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank.
