Deck overview

This deck is a classic Gruul Stompy strategy commanded by Ruby, Daring Tracker. The game plan focuses on rapid land acceleration to deploy massive, evasive creatures ahead of curve. Casting Ruby on Turn 2 allows the deck to consistently cast 4-mana double-ramp spells like Explosive Vegetation and Invasion of Zendikar on Turn 3. By Turn 4, the deck commands 6 to 7 mana, deploying overwhelming centerpieces like Xenagos, God of Revels, Quartzwood Crasher, and Old One Eye. Power-based card draw engines such as Rishkar's Expertise and Return of the Wildspeaker refill the hand, while combat enablers provide trample and extra combats to close out games across multiple attack steps.
