This Naya lands-matter deck is helmed by Toph, the First Metalbender, who converts nontoken artifacts into lands for fixing and earthbends a land into a 4/4 haste attacker each end step. The core plan is to ramp lands aggressively, deploy creatures whose power equals your land count - Braulios of Pheres Band, Sandman, Shifting Scoundrel, Flora Colossus, Mirkwood Pathmaker, Beanstalk Giant, Rampaging Brontodon - and finish through combat, accelerated by Moraug, Fury of Akoum's extra combat phases and Avenger of Zendikar's landfall token army. A dense land-tutor package (Sword of the Animist, Bitterthorn, Nissa's Animus, Lumbering Worldwagon, fetch lands) fuels the engine. The 99 also contains two alternate Tophs - Toph, the Blind Bandit and Toph, Hardheaded Teacher - that serve as hidden commanders providing extra earthbend triggers. Wins are combat-based, with no true infinite combos beyond Moraug's landfall combat chains.
