This deck is a five-color combo-control strategy helmed by Codie, Ravenous Codex, built around the synergy between the prepare mechanic, blink engines, and spellcraft payoffs. Creatures with prepare enter the battlefield ready to cast powerful spell copies from their flip sides. By repeatedly flickering these permanents with cards like Displacer Kitten, Ephemerate, and Teleportation Circle, the deck repeatedly refreshes their prepared state, triggering Archmage Emeritus, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Vega, the Watcher for massive card velocity and mana generation. The primary win condition revolves around infinite mana and cast loops, most notably combining Displacer Kitten with Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song or Ghostly Flicker with Peregrine Drake and Eternal Witness.
