Deck overview

The deck uses Norman Osborn // Green Goblin as a combat-based graveyard engine. The front face is unblockable and connives after combat damage, letting the deck place wheel effects in the graveyard. After paying the four-color transformation cost, the Goblin face reduces graveyard spell costs and allows cards discarded that turn to be cast for their mayhem costs. Wheels such as Windfall, Dark Deal, and Whispering Madness then refill hands and can trigger punishers including Underworld Dreams, Nekusar, the Mindrazer, and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. Demonic Tutor, Wishclaw Talisman, rituals, and cheap rocks support this plan. The engine is usually assembled around turn 5 and becomes a real threat around turn 7, but it is not a reliable compact kill. It needs combat connections, separate punisher permanents, repeated discard, and protection. Creature removal, enchantment removal, graveyard hate, and disruption during transformation are serious problems.
