Deck overview

This Jund deck is commanded by Thantis, the Warweaver and focuses on forced combat, goad mechanics, and pillowfort attrition. The game plan accelerates through green ramp into mid-game defensive anchors such as Crawlspace, No Mercy, and Revenge of Ravens. Once Thantis enters the battlefield, all creatures are forced to attack every combat. Opponents are compelled to turn their utility creatures and attackers against each other, taking heavy combat damage while the pilot hides behind deterrents, fogs, and vigilance. Payoffs like Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant, Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos, and Rite of the Raging Storm accelerate opposing life loss while drawing cards. As opposing life totals collapse and boards decimate one another, the deck transitions into lethal combat swings with an overgrown Thantis, Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, or Vigor. While powerful at controlling combat pacing, the deck is vulnerable to non-combat combo strategies and exile board wipes.
