Deck overview

This deck is a five-color tribal control build centered on Reaper King. It leverages a dense suite of low-cost Changelings and Scarecrows alongside instant-speed blink spells like Ephemerate, Ghostly Flicker, and Ghostway to repeatedly trigger Reaper King's ability to destroy any target permanent. Early turns focus on mana fixing and ramp to cast the commander by turn 5. Once on board, trigger doublers such as Panharmonicon and Roaming Throne enable multi-permanent removal swings that dismantle opposing mana bases and key engines. The deck protects its board state with defensive blinks, Heroic Intervention, and Padeem, Consul of Innovation. Victory is achieved by locking opponents out of resources and converting a wide board of buffed Changelings into lethal combat damage using Coat of Arms, Door of Destinies, or Mirror Entity, with a compact secondary win condition in Painter's Servant combined with Grindstone.
