Deck overview

This deck is a thematic Grixis spellslinger and graveyard control list built around the iconic guild mechanics of Ravnica: Transmute, Cipher, Surveil, Overload, Jump-start, and Replicate. Led by Norman Osborn // Green Goblin, the strategy uses Norman's unblockable combat damage to trigger connive, filtering cards into the graveyard while growing in power. Once transformed into Green Goblin, the deck exploits discounted graveyard casting and mayhem to reuse spells discarded during combat or looting. A toolbox of ten Transmute cards lets you tutor specific answers and combo-adjacent engines across the mana curve. The deck controls the board through repeated discard with Disinformation Campaign, targeted removal, and flexible overloaded sweepers like Cyclonic Rift and Mizzium Mortars. It closes games by chaining overloaded spells such as Spectacular Showdown and Mizzix's Mastery, finishing opponents through unblockable and evasive combat damage.
