Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is commanded by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls and employs a dedicated group-slug engine that punishes opponents for taking routine game actions. By deploying low-cost continuous damage sources such as Roiling Vortex, Stormfist Crusader, and Mogis, God of Slaughter, the deck ensures opponents lose life during their own turns. This repeatedly triggers Valgavoth, growing the commander into a lethal airborne threat while drawing up to three extra cards per turn rotation. The accrued card advantage consistently feeds into a compact two-card infinite combo featuring Exquisite Blood paired with Sanguine Bond or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. Once assembled, any single point of damage or life loss initiates a loop that drains all three opponents to zero life instantly. Supported by redirect-based stack interaction, creature removal, and heavy board wipes, the deck maintains steady board pressure while building toward an inevitable combo finish.
