Commander: Bilbo, Thief in the Night

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-blue deck helmed by Bilbo, Thief in the Night is a graveyard-centric spellslinger/mill strategy. The primary plan is to fill the graveyard through looting, self-mill, and opponent-mill effects, then leverage Bilbo's attack trigger to cast instants, sorceries, and artifacts from the graveyard at a reduced cost. The deck uses a voltron equipment package to make Bilbo unblockable and resilient, ensuring repeated value. Win conditions include milling opponents via Court of Cunning, Increasing Confusion, and Brain Freeze storm, with Octavia, Living Thesis as a backup beatstick. The commander is the engine's driving force, but the deck also includes secondary recursion outlets like Gale, Waterdeep Prodigy and Patrician Geist.
