Deck overview

This is a Dimir Nightmare/Horror tribal deck built around exiling opponents' libraries and growing Umbris, Fear Manifest into a lethal, unblockable threat. The primary game plan is to deploy a dense suite of mill and exile effects - Nemesis of Reason, Maddening Cacophony, Tasha's Hideous Laughter, and The Mindskinner - to strip opponents' libraries while fueling Umbris's power and generating value from the exile zone. The deck wins through mill-out (Doomsday Excruciator plus any mill effect, or The Mindskinner's unblockable combat damage), commander damage from a giant Umbris, or combat damage from large Horrors like Brainstealer Dragon and Elder Brain. Secondary synergies include reanimation via Captain N'ghathrod and Chainer, Dementia Master, plus heavy graveyard hate in Leyline of the Void and Planar Void to keep opponents' cards parked in exile.
