Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos treasure-and-dragon deck built to weaponize Smaug the Impenetrable's damage-to-Treasure trigger. The 8/7 haste, indestructible commander turns every noncombat damage source into a torrent of Treasure tokens, which the deck then converts into card flow, explosive mana, and direct damage through artifact payoffs like Reckless Fireweaver, Ingenious Artillerist, Mayhem Devil, and Mirkwood Bats. The primary win paths are a damage-amplified Chandra's Ignition on Smaug (made lethal by Fiery Emancipation and Twinflame Tyrant), a huge treasure-fueled Torment of Hailfire, and the alternate-win conditions Revel in Riches and Hellkite Tyrant. A secondary dragon-beatdown plan leans on hasty dragons like Goldspan Dragon and Cavern-Hoard Dragon. The deck is a midrange value engine that wins by flooding the board with artifacts and then cashing them in for a killing blow.
