Deck overview

This deck executes a focused Dimir tempo strategy led by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary game plan curves a 1-mana unblockable creature into a Turn 2 Commander Ninjutsu activation, putting Yuriko directly onto the battlefield attacking and unblocked. Each time a Ninja deals combat damage, Yuriko reveals the top card of the library, puts it into your hand, and burns each opponent for its mana value. The deck magnifies this effect using topdeck manipulation such as Brainstorm and Brainsurge to place expensive spells like Decree of Pain and Arcane Proxy on top before combat. A dense suite of low-cost counterspells and creature interaction protects the engine while disrupting opponents' development. While the deck lacks competitive fast mana and instant-win combos, its combination of uncounterable commander deployment, rapid card draw, and simultaneous three-player life drain creates a fast and resilient clock.
