Commander: Hashaton, Scarab's Fist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Esper discard-reanimator deck helmed by Hashaton, Scarab's Fist. The core loop is simple: discard any creature card on any turn, pay {2}{U}, and get a 4/4 black Zombie copy of it. The list is loaded with cheap draw-and-discard enablers and high-impact creatures to copy, from Archon of Cruelty and Dusk Mangler to Tivit, Seller of Secrets and Riptide Gearhulk. Because Hashaton triggers on the discard event itself, even replacement effects that exile discarded cards still produce tokens. In the mid-game, the deck shifts into classic reanimator, using Reanimate, Victimize, Sheoldred, Whispering One, and The Scarab God to rebuy the same threats. Token multipliers Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation // Temple of Civilization and Exalted Sunborn can turn a single Hashaton activation into a massive burst of tokens, ending games through repeated ETB drains and combat damage.
