Deck overview

This deck executes a low-curve Mardu Vampire tribal strategy commanded by Edgar Markov. It leverages Edgar's eminence ability from the command zone to generate free 1/1 Vampire tokens whenever a Vampire spell is cast. By flooding the board with aggressive 1- and 2-drop creatures, the deck creates overwhelming board states by Turn 3. It converts these wide boards into lethal combat steps using mass pump effects like Shared Animosity and Banner of Kinship, or through life-drain triggers from Sanctum Seeker and Blood Artist. Card draw engines like Skullclamp and Necropotence turn spare tokens into massive card advantage, keeping resources flowing. Premier defensive spells such as Teferi's Protection and Clever Concealment shield the board against sweepers. If combat stalls, the deck seamlessly pivots to a deterministic infinite life-drain combo using Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Marauding Blight-Priest.
