Deck overview

This mono-blue artifact deck is led by Lady Octopus, Inspired Inventor, an efficient engine that accumulates ingenuity counters whenever you draw your first or second card each turn. By chaining cheap cantrips, upkeep draw triggers, and untap abilities, Lady Octopus rapidly scales her counters. She then taps to cheat massive, game-winning artifacts directly from hand onto the battlefield without paying their mana costs. Key payoffs include Portal to Phyrexia for board suppression, Darksteel Forge for total artifact protection, Simulacrum Synthesizer for an expanding army of massive Construct tokens, and Blightsteel Colossus or Krang, Utrom Warlord to close out games with lethal combat damage. Backed by resilient countermagic, phase-out effects, and alternative mana engines like Urza, Lord High Artificer, the deck transitions seamlessly from early-game card flow into an overwhelming board state by Turn 5.
