Wizards by JustGabe

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Party Guest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gandalf, Party Guest is a legendary-Wizard counter engine. The deck plays cheap legendary Wizards early, then Gandalf freecasts a high-mana instant or sorcery at the beginning of each combat. The main path is the Approach of the Second Sun plus Narset's Reversal loop; Full Throttle and Insurrection provide a second one-turn kill, and Akroma's Will on Kykar/Talrand tokens is the value back-up. Redundant engines such as Gandalf the Grey, Thousand-Year Storm, and Lier keep the plan running if Gandalf is removed. The commander has no second face; Gandalf the Grey is the closest hidden backup.
