Deck overview

This mono-black deck is led by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on an explosive token-swarm strategy enabled by undercosted, high-power creatures. Early drops such as Rotting Regisaur, Kalakscion, Hunger Tyrant, Relic Golem, and Lupine Prototype provide massive power-to-mana ratios that Gisa converts into five to seven 2/2 Zombie tokens in a single activation. Once established, the wide Zombie board overwhelms opponents through anthem lords like Undead Warchief and Death Baron, or drains the table using aristocrat payoffs including Ayara, First of Locthwain, Plague Belcher, Mirkwood Bats, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Noxious Ghoul acts as a one-sided sweeper whenever Gisa produces tokens, keeping opposing creature boards clear. While vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and lacking stack interaction, the deck maintains high redundancy, powerful card draw engines, and resilient graveyard recursion.
