Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black lifegain and aristocrats deck led by Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. The main game plan focuses on converting life gain triggers into direct life loss for opponents. In the early turns, the deck sets up mana rocks, card draw engines, and lifegain permanents. Once Vito or a redundant drain engine like Marauding Blight-Priest or Sanguine Bond enters the battlefield, every point of life gained turns into damage. The deck threatens critical lethality around Turn 6 with massive life swings from kicked Blood Tribute, high-devotion Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or a large Exsanguinate. While the deck features robust graveyard recursion and redundant win conditions, it lacks stack interaction and noncreature removal, making it vulnerable to fast combo decks and resolved artifact or enchantment engines.
