Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius artifact-midrange strategy led by Belisarius Cawl, focusing on token generation, artifact card advantage, and asymmetric tap-stax control. The core engine leverages Cawl's ability to tap artifacts to create 2/2 Astartes Warrior tokens and tap creatures to dig for key artifact pieces. A defining strength of the deck is its manipulation of continuous stax artifacts like Storage Matrix, Meekstone, and Trinisphere; by tapping these permanents with Cawl or Clock of Omens during its own turn, the deck breaks parity and subjects opponents to severe resource denial. Untap engines such as Drumbellower, Dazzling Theater // Prop Room, and Unwinding Clock accelerate resource generation to multiple activations per table cycle. The deck finishes games through wide combat overruns using Dollmaker's Shop // Porcelain Gallery, animating artifacts via Tezzeret the Seeker, or producing an infinite token swarm with Intruder Alarm.
