Deck overview

Kasla, the Broken Halo commands a Jeskai token and convoke deck focused on creating creature tokens to bypass mana costs on powerful spells. Early sequencing prioritizes low-cost token generators like Prosperous Partnership, Battle Screech, and Third Path Iconoclast. By Turn 4 or 5, Kasla enters using convoke, providing immediate aerial pressure with haste and turning subsequent convoke spells into scrying card advantage. The deck reaches critical onset on Turn 6 through asymmetric sweepers like Hour of Reckoning or powerful anthem engines like Virtue of Loyalty and Champions from Beyond. Without infinite combos or dedicated tutors, victory is achieved through wide combat swings across multiple turn cycles, eliminating opponents sequentially by Turn 9. The deck shields its board with convoke-friendly spells like Ephemeral Shields and Boros Charm, but remains vulnerable to sweeping exile effects.
