Commander: Ashling, the Limitless

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ashling, the Limitless is a five-color Elemental deck built to cheat the mana curve through evoked Elemental permanent spells. You cast Ashling early, then cast expensive Elementals from hand for their {4} evoke cost; the ensuing sacrifice creates hasty token copies that can attack immediately or enable enter triggers again. The primary plan is to snowball a single big turn with Temur Battlecrier/Animar cost reduction, then either finish through Champion of the Path/Eshki pings or a Myriad swing from Mass of Mysteries. Maelstrom Wanderer acts as a hidden commander, since evoking it for {4} cascades twice and grants all creatures haste. Recursion and Food Chain support longer resource games, but the deck wins fastest by converting evoke into a zero-mana chain.
