Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Mardu aggro and cheat-into-play strategy commanded by Kaalia of the Vast. The game plan accelerates mana on Turns 1 and 2 to deploy Kaalia ahead of curve on Turn 3. On Turn 4, Kaalia attacks to bypass the high mana costs of devastating Angels, Demons, and Dragons, putting threats like Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, and Utvara Hellkite directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The deck leverages efficient protection spells such as Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver to ensure Kaalia survives to trigger. Once established, the expanding aerial armada inflicts lethal combat damage across the table within two turn cycles, while asymmetric sweepers like Ruinous Ultimatum clear opposing resistance.
