Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis midrange strategy led by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It uses dense artifact acceleration to cast Sauron ahead of curve on Turn 4. Once Sauron enters the battlefield, opposing spells trigger amass to build an Orc Army, while combat connections trigger the Ring's temptation to repeatedly discard and draw four cards. The deck leverages this card flow with nine copies of Nazgûl to create large evasive threats, and Archfiend of Ifnir to clear opposing boards with -1/-1 counters. Asymmetric pieces like Winter Orb and God-Pharaoh's Statue tax opposing resources while Sauron's punishing ward protects your board. The deck finishes games around Turn 8 through overwhelming combat damage and life drain from Sheoldred, the Apocalypse.
