Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir mill and combo strategy commanded by Phenax, God of Deception. The primary game plan converts creature toughness into direct library destruction, turning resilient defenders into lethal tap-to-mill engines. Phenax sits at the center of the strategy, leveraging high-toughness creatures like Wall of Frost, The Mindskinner, and Eater of the Dead to strip dozens of cards from opponents' decks each turn cycle. In addition to steady tap-to-mill attrition, the deck features explosive burst lines through Bruvac the Grandiloquent paired with half-library mill spells like Maddening Cacophony and Cut Your Losses, as well as an infinite life-loss and mill loop with Duskmantle Guildmage and Mindcrank. Defensive tools like Propaganda, Aetherize, and Maze of Ith deter aggressive attacks while Dauthi Voidwalker prevents graveyard exploitation. The deck steadily controls combat, accelerates card mill, and rapidly empties all opposing libraries to secure victory.
