Boros Lightning Midrange (EDH) by imafuckyouup

Format: Commander

Commander: Lightning, Army of One

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Lightning, Army of One is a Boros tempo-aggro deck that weaponizes its commander's Stagger trigger: a single hit turns every subsequent burn spell and doubled combat source into a second, larger wave. The deck floods the board with cheap hasty creatures, then uses Twinflame Tyrant, Aurelia, the Law Above, and Warleader's Call to spread damage to all opponents. Backup exists in the Heartless Hidetsugu + Twinflame Tyrant one-shot and in equipment/pump lines that can take a player out with commander damage. The list is linear but resilient: eight protection effects and mass indestructible let it push through board wipes, and its speed depends on reaching the four-to-five-mana doubling turn.
