Deck overview

This mono-black combo deck leverages Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose to turn lifegain into lethal direct damage. The primary game plan seeks to assemble a deterministic infinite damage loop using Vito alongside Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. A robust suite of black tutors and rituals accelerates mana development and reliably finds missing combo pieces by Turn 5. The deck supports this core game plan with efficient instant-speed removal, targeted discard, and card advantage engines that draw off creature deaths and lifegain triggers. Alternate win conditions include storming into Aetherflux Reservoir with K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth and Leshrac's Sigil or casting a lethal kicked Blood Tribute. While the strategy is vulnerable to well-timed spot removal against its commander, redundant payoffs like Marauding Blight-Priest and Starscape Cleric provide strong resilience against disruption.
