Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold by BGELLS

Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin Oakenshield

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Boros Dwarf-tribal deck helmed by Thorin Oakenshield, built around a dense swarm of legendary Dwarves, a substantial Equipment suite, and heavy Treasure generation. The primary game plan is to develop a wide Dwarf board, layer anthem effects (Shared Animosity, An Unexpected Party, Chronicle of Victory, Collective Inferno), and finish through massive double-strike combat damage. The commander's role is defensive - his Storied ability grants ward {1} to all artifacts and creatures, protecting the board while the swarm develops. Secondary win conditions include Hellkite Tyrant's 20-artifact alternate win, Helm of the Host copying key legends, and Cadric, Soul Kindler generating hasty copies of legendary permanents. The deck is a midrange aggro pile that wins through combat inevitability rather than combos.
