Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai Elf combo and tribal engine helmed by Thranduil, the Elvenking. The core strategy leverages Thranduil's ability to inherit all activated abilities of Elf cards residing in the graveyard. By resolving Buried Alive, the pilot deposits Devoted Druid, Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, and Evolution Witness into the graveyard. When Thranduil is active without summoning sickness, this trio forms an infinite mana loop: tapping for five mana with Selvala, untapping with Devoted Druid via a -1/-1 counter, and activating Adapt 2 from Evolution Witness to generate +1/+1 counters that cancel out the -1/-1 counters. The resulting infinite mana is converted into a lethal table drain using Springleaf Parade and Lathril, Blade of the Elves. Backed by redundant draw from legendary Elves and green overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede, the deck presents a focused mid-power combo threat with conventional casual interaction.
