Aristocrat Spellslinger by shabowwabow

Format: Commander

Commander: Silverquill, the Disputant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Orzhov aristocrats-token deck helmed by Silverquill, the Disputant, built to multiply the burn from its drain engines by repeating instant and sorcery spells at the cost of a creature. The primary win route is a pinger grind: the deck floods the board with tiny bodies (via Secure the Wastes, Finale of Glory, Lingering Souls, Monastery Mentor) while maintaining sacrifice outlets (Viscera Seer, Ashnod's Altar, Village Rites) that fuel death-trigger drain effects. Every creature that dies pings the table through Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Cruel Celebrant, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, Mirkwood Bats, and Bastion of Remembrance; the commander lets you copy key sorceries like Syphon Mind or the finisher Exsanguinate for extra reach. Secondary wins come from big X spells - Debt to the Deathless or a massive Secure the Wastes - and the combo-adjacent loop of Chain of Smog + Professor Onyx for repeated drain, though the deck's tutor access is too thin to reliably find the chain.
