Deck overview

This Boros deck is an aggressive token and ETB burn engine led by The Jolly Balloon Man. The primary game plan revolves around casting utility creatures with powerful enter-the-battlefield abilities, then duplicating them using the commander's ability to create temporary 1/1 flying Balloon tokens with haste. These tokens trigger group-slug damage pieces like Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, and Agate Instigator, burning all opponents simultaneously while building an evasive airborne army. Mass token creators like Reverent Hoplite and Myr Battlesphere provide explosive damage spikes. The deck also includes repeatable card advantage via Skullclamp, Caretaker's Talent, and Enduring Innocence. While the strategy is vulnerable to sweepers and lacks countermagic, high card redundancy and defensive blink spells like Eerie Interlude keep the engine running smoothly into the mid-game.
