Deck overview

This mono-black Aristocrats deck leverages Ayara, First of Locthwain as both a card-draw engine and a lethal life-drain outlet from the command zone. The primary game plan curves into Ayara on Turn 3, followed by high-synergy sacrifice outlets and recurring creature fodder on Turn 4. The deck transitions into a game-winning state on Turn 5 by assembling the infinite loop of Gravecrawler and Warren Soultrader, which drains the entire table in a single turn. High card velocity from sacrifice-based draw spells like Village Rites and Plumb the Forbidden digs rapidly toward combo pieces or massive burst damage via Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Reactive interaction focuses heavily on low-mana and free creature removal like Snuff Out and Defile, while backup win conditions including Exquisite Blood combos and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed ensure resilient closing power.
