Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Dimir combat control list commanded by Satoru Umezawa. The core game plan focuses on deploying inexpensive, unblockable 1-mana creatures during the opening turns, casting Satoru on Turn 3, and activating his universal {2}{U}{B} ninjutsu ability on Turn 4. This cheat engine drops massive, game-warping creatures directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking after blockers are declared. Chief among these threats is Blightsteel Colossus, which eliminates an opponent in a single unblocked swing via 11 infect damage. Alternate payloads like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Archon of Cruelty strip opposing hands, wipe creature boards, and generate overwhelming card advantage. The deck defends its engine using efficient 1-mana countermagic, hexproof equipment, and asymmetric board resets like Cyclonic Rift, systematically dismantling opponents over successive combat turns.
