Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu Vampire tribal and aristocrats deck commanded by Edgar Markov. It leverages Edgar's Eminence ability to generate a free 1/1 Vampire token whenever any Vampire spell is cast, creating an expansive board presence without requiring its commander to enter the battlefield early. The deck rapidly develops low-CMC creatures on Turns 1 through 3, establishes incremental drain through cards like Kalastria Healer and Sanguine Syphoner, and scales its damage with aristocrat engines such as Bartolomé del Presidio, Grave Pact, and Skullclamp. On Turn 6, casting Edgar Markov provides an immediate, hasted alpha-strike that places +1/+1 counters across the entire team, closing games over two subsequent combat steps. A compact two-card infinite combo between Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose provides an alternate instant-win condition. The deck's primary weaknesses are a vulnerability to board sweepers and a low density of mana ramp and countermagic.
