Deck overview

This mono-red Dragon tribal deck is commanded by Lathliss, Dragon Queen and aims to overwhelm the table with massive flying threats and direct damage triggers. The game plan focuses on utilizing early cost reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman, Urza's Incubator, and Ruby Medallion to deploy Lathliss ahead of schedule on Turn 5. Once established, every subsequent nontoken Dragon cast creates an additional 5/5 flying Dragon token, rapidly building an insurmountable aerial board state. Heavy hitters such as Terror of the Peaks, Utvara Hellkite, Scourge of Valkas, and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames convert creature deployments and attack steps into lethal bursts of direct damage. While the deck possesses incredible redundancy and potent standalone threats, it operates at sorcery speed and commits heavily to the battlefield. A lack of stack interaction and dedicated board-wipe protection means the deck is vulnerable to timely sweeps, requiring thoughtful deployment to maintain pressure through the midgame.
