Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu battlecruiser strategy built around Kaalia of the Vast. The primary game plan accelerates Kaalia onto the battlefield on turn 3 using low-cost mana rocks like Arcane Signet and Talisman of Hierarchy. On turn 4, Kaalia attacks to cheat massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking, bypassing high mana costs. Threats like Bloodthirster, Aurelia, the Warleader, and Balefire Dragon generate extra combat steps and wipe opposing boards, closing out the table by turn 7 through overwhelming aerial damage. Cheap defensive spells such as Blacksmith's Skill, Lightning Greaves, and Teferi's Protection safeguard Kaalia at critical moments. Flexible removal like Path to Exile and Rakdos Charm disrupts opposing strategies, while Deafening Silence slows down faster noncreature spell engines.
