Deck overview

This Sultai graveyard deck uses Muldrotha, the Gravetide as a powerhouse recursion engine to grind insurmountable card advantage and execute sudden, game-ending combos. Early turns focus on accelerating mana with low-cost ramp and aggressively filling the graveyard using Hermit Druid, Mesmeric Orb, Entomb, and Buried Alive. Once Muldrotha lands on Turn 4, the graveyard functions as an extended hand, repeatedly deploying utility permanents like Spore Frog, Haywire Mite, and Glen Elendra Archmage to control the board. The deck transitions rapidly from control to victory on Turn 5 by reanimating massive threats like Lord of Extinction to fling with Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord for an immediate table-wide kill, or by looping Kaya's Ghostform, Lotus Petal, and Altar of Dementia to mill all opponents out in a single turn. Even without Muldrotha, standalone engines like Breach the Multiverse, Defense of the Heart, and Shifting Woodland provide seamless backup victories with minimal delay.
