Deck overview

This Grixis Spellslinger deck is commanded by Fire Lord Azula, who acts as both a mana accelerator and a spell multiplier. Whenever Azula attacks, her firebending ability generates {R}{R} and copies every spell cast while she is attacking. The deck leverages this unique combat-window duplication by chaining instant-speed draw spells, rituals, and token generators during the declare attackers step. Support cards like Archmage Emeritus, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Veyran, Voice of Duality rapidly convert duplicated spells into overwhelming mana and card advantage, while burn pingers like Coruscation Mage, Firebrand Archer, and Vivi Ornitier whittle down opposing life totals. The deck culminates in decisive finishes via high-storm Grapeshot bursts, massive copied damage spells like Comet Storm, or the compact two-card infinite combo of Dualcaster Mage and Twinflame. Protected by efficient free interaction and equipment, the deck delivers an explosive, high-tempo combat storm strategy.
