Dead on Arrival by Ratladd

Format: Commander

Commander: Isareth the Awakener

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Isareth the Awakener leads a mono-black reanimator strategy that blends graveyard recursion with counter manipulation and aristocrat synergies. The deck focuses on stocking the graveyard through precise entombs like Buried Alive and incidental mill, then using Isareth's attack triggers or spells like Victimize to recur key creatures. A unique counter-stripping package featuring Vampire Hexmage, Hex Parasite, and Thief of Blood enables instant 20/20 Marit Lage tokens from Dark Depths while removing corpse counters to reuse reanimated creatures. Games conclude through devastating Gray Merchant of Asphodel drain bursts, Marit Lage combat strikes, or Doomsday Excruciator stripping opposing libraries.
