Austin's Gonti deck by user1041039

Format: Commander

Commander: Gonti, Canny Acquisitor

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gonti, Canny Acquisitor leads a Sultai theft-and-mill strategy that uses evasive combat damage to exile cards from opponents' libraries and cast them for {1} less. The deck blends unblockable small creatures, crime triggers (Deepmuck Desperado, Freestrider Lookout, Hardbristle Bandit), and repeatable theft engines such as Thief of Sanity, Gonti, Lord of Luxury, and Xanathar, Guild Kingpin. Gonti himself is the primary cost-reducer and trigger engine, but the deck has overlapping access to stolen cards without him. There is no infinite combo; the win comes from accumulating 5/5-and-larger attackers (including stolen creatures) and eliminating each opponent through combat damage over several turns. Gyruda is not a legal companion because the deck contains odd-cost cards.
