Deck overview

Pride of the Gatewatch is an aggressive Jeskai Superfriends deck that converts combat connections into explosive planeswalker value. Led by Leori, Sparktouched Hunter, the deck turns traditional passive planeswalker play into a dynamic engine. By connecting in combat with Leori, you select a planeswalker subtype and duplicate all loyalty abilities activated for that subtype during your post-combat main phase. Double strike enablers like Duelist's Heritage and Flaming Fist trigger Leori twice, yielding three total activations per planeswalker without additional loyalty costs. The list concentrates its planeswalker package into dense clusters of Chandra, Teferi, and Elspeth. This density ensures consistent overlap and immediate payoff. Asymmetric lock pieces like Narset, Parter of Veils and Teferi, Time Raveler suppress opposing responses while pillowfort enchantments defend your life total. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through massive flying token swarms and cumulative Chandra emblems.
