Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai combo and spell-velocity engine piloted by Zedruu the Greathearted. Rather than relying on traditional symmetrical 'bad gift' stax pieces, the list operates as a resilient combo-control shell centered on noncreature triggers, artifact loops, and deterministic win conditions. The primary win line leverages Jeskai Ascendancy or Valley Floodcaller alongside Retraction Helix or Banishing Knack to bounce and recast zero-cost artifacts like Lotus Petal, Mishra's Bauble, or Memnite. This loop generates infinite spell casts, infinite creature untaps, infinite looting, and lethal damage via Impact Tremors or Warleader's Call. As a backup, the deck features the classic two-card mill combo of Mind Over Matter and Temple Bell, along with creature flickers powered by Displacer Kitten and token swarms from Kykar, Wind's Fury and The Locust God. An efficient suite of low-cost countermagic, targeted removal, and phasing protection defends the engine while it rapidly cycles toward a same-turn finish.
