Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Simic +1/+1 counters and Hydra strategy helmed by Primo, the Unbounded. It accelerates mana rapidly in the opening turns through low-cost land ramp spells and artifacts like Elementalist's Palette. On turn 4, it deploys Primo or a large {X}-cost creature alongside counter doublers such as Branching Evolution and Unbound Flourishing. Because Primo and most Hydras have a base power of 0, dealing combat damage triggers Primo to create exponentially large Fractal tokens. The deck turns massive combat damage into card advantage via Garruk's Uprising and The Great Henge, while using Herald of Secret Streams, Wave Goodbye, and Triumph of the Hordes to bypass blockers and close out games around turn 6 or 7. Protection spells like Heroic Intervention and Mutational Advantage keep the board intact against opposing disruption.
